Owner/Principal Engineer

-         Independent engineering consultant providing project management, design and application engineering support for the development/upgrade of mobile hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, hydrostatic, engine and a/c systems in the agricultural, severe service truck, mining, rail and transit sectors.

1999-July 2000          Engineer Analyst I / Point of Reference, Hydraulic Competency Center

-         Supervised the Winnipeg Hydraulic Competency Group and reported directly to the Global Hydraulic Competency Manager in Modena Italy.

-         Designed and coordinated the release to production of the hydraulic system for the Series 70A tractor.

-         Performed initial design and development of the hydraulic systems for the TG and TJ series of tractors.

 

1997-1999                 Engineer Analyst II / Point of Reference, Hydraulic Competency Center

-         Supervised the Winnipeg Hydraulic Competency Group and reported directly to the Global Hydraulic Competency Manager in Modena Italy.

-         Designed, developed and coordinated the release to production of the hydraulic system for the European (Homologated) version of TV140 Bidirectional tractor.

-         Specified the integrated hydraulic pump requirements for next generation New Holland Winnipeg product and coordinated initial co-development with suppliers.

 

1994-1997                 Engineer Analyst II, Design Engineering

-         Provided hydraulic, air conditioning, and cooling system support for all New Holland Winnipeg products.

-         Designed, developed, and coordinated the release to production of the hydraulic and hydrostatic systems for the TV140 Bidirectional tractor.  Applied for numerous patents on these systems.

-         Provided engine and air conditioning systems design support for the TV140 Bidirectional tractor.

-         Designed and developed the patented high flow hydraulic system for the 82/84 Series 4wd tractor.

-         Researched and summarized the hydraulic system requirements for the next generation of air seeders of the major seeding equipment manufacturers.

-         Specified the electro-hydraulic remote valve requirements for New Holland Winnipeg product and coordinated the initial selection of suppliers for co-development.

 

1987-1994                 Project Engineer, Design Engineering

-         Provided hydraulic system support for all Ford New Holland Winnipeg products.

-         Designed and developed the hydraulic and hydrostatic systems for the 9030 Bidirectional tractor.

-         Designed, developed, and coordinated the release to production of the hydraulic system for the 80 Series 4wd tractor.

-         Provided hydraulic and air conditioning systems design support for the G70 Series tractor.

-         Designed, developed, and coordinated the release to production of the air conditioning, brake and engine (air intake, exhaust, fuel, and cooling) systems for the 80 Series 4wd tractor.

 

1984-1987                 Engineer II, Specialty Engineering

-         Provided hydraulic system support for all Versatile Farm Equipment Co. products.

-         Designed, developed, and released to production the hydraulic and hydrostatic systems of the all hydraulic drive Versatile 4700 self propelled, 4200 push type and 4300 pull type swathers, all of which incorporated hydraulic table floatation, cartridge valves, and custom manifolds.

-         Designed and coordinated the manufacture of production line test stands for the Versatile 4700 windrower.

-         Performed in-house CADAM cad training.

 

1981-1984                 Engineer I, Specialty Engineering

-         Provided hydraulic system support for all Versatile Farm Equipment Co. products.

-         Designed and developed the closed center load sensing hydraulic systems for the Designation 6 Series 4wd tractor and the model 256 Bidirectional tractor. 

-         Developed the hydraulic and hydrostatic systems of a prototype, all hydraulic drive, 4wd combine.

-         Developed the hydraulic system of a prototype articulated 4wd tractor, which incorporated electro-hydraulic remote valves and electro-hydraulic steering of the articulation and front axle.

 

1980-1981                 Trainee part time, Testing Department

-         Developed the closed center load sensing hydraulic system for the Versatile 1156 model tractor while completing final year of Degree.
